New website on 1and1

I'm seriously considering getting a website on 1and1. I've looked at loads of website developments companies like 1and1; it's one the most affordable ones and is the best value for money. I've found there are pros and cons of having an independent e-commerce website, but with the right marketing material it could be the best investment I've ever made.

Is it a good idea to start a website already? Or should I wait until I'm ready to expand and make it one of my top priorities? Right now I really want to make some money for university from my jewellery, but I'm not getting many sales from Etsy or Runway Republic. Stalls are the best option for me, but they're so expensive!
